The Vision is Simple: "To create the Can-Am Nationals as a premier automotive destination. Hosted annually in Winnipeg, the event will bring together classic and custom car enthusiasts from across Canada and the United States."
The Legacy of the 1974 Event
Winnipeg has done this before. The legendary 1974 Can-Nats event hosted by Manitoba Street Rod Association (MSRA) brought together more than 250 pre-1948 street rods, with participants travelling from across Canada and as far away as California and Texas.
More than 52 years later, we have the opportunity, the passion, the cars and the people to build on that legacy and create a new annual Can-Am Nationals destination event for Winnipeg and Western Canada.
Why Pre-Registration Matters
Because this will formally only be the 'second' Canada-United States event of this type in a very long time, the necessary potential corporate sponsors do not have years of attendance figures or proven event results to review.
Having a Pre-registration for the event provides something sponsors can understand: Measurable evidence of support and demand.

The First 500
Pre-Registration for the event is strictly limited to the first
500 vehicle spaces.
Securing these initial 500 entries serves as the critical milestone that officially guarantees the baseline participation needed to secure the event dates and lock in major corporate sponsorships.
Once these first 500 Pre-Registration spaces are claimed, this early registration phase will close, and additional entries will be placed on a formal waiting list as we finalize the total field capacity.
Classic Reporter and Gearhead Media are deeply committed to bringing you a premier automotive experience; however, it is important to understand that hosting a high-caliber destination event of this scale requires a substantial minimum level of participation.
Consequently, if the required number of 500 Pre-Registration vehicle entries is not achieved by the deadline of May 1, 2027, the event will unfortunately be unable to proceed on the planned dates.
If a cancellation should occur, please be assured that every processed Pre-Registration fee will be issued a full and automatic refund to the original form of payment.
